Important Announcement

December 4, 2020

Dear colleague,

I send you many greetings from Prague. We hope you're all still healthy.

I assume you're all watching a pandemic. However, its development is unclear and the problems associated with the pandemic appear to persist and are likely to last longer than we expected. The information we have available suggests that global health and travel restrictions may continue also next year.

We still waited and hoped, but under these circumstances, we are not able to ensure the course of the SPPT, because the participants are from all over the world and the regulations of individual states and Covid situation in them differ and are constantly changing over time. Because we believe that organize the SPPT online is not a good idea, we decided to postpone the SPPT on June 20-23, 2022. The information is updated on

Some of you may need to submit scientific results sooner. You can publish them, for example, in the journal Plasma Physics and Technology. All contributions are free of charge, available both in the printed and online version and all in open access mode. For details, see please

With best regards and wishes of good health and all the best

Jan Pichal
